In line with the post-pandemic surge of recruitment programs from the hotel and lodging industry, the Ministry of Education’s Youth Development Administration (YDA) is offering monetary incentives to both local and expatriate students in tertiary education institutions, to encourage them to make use of the summer holidays to gather workplace experience in the hotel industry, thereby familiarizing themselves with the various hospitality services and skills required by the industry, and accumulating practical experience as part of the future workforce.
Details are outlined as follows:
Target demographic and duration: Applications are open to local and expatriate students enrolled in tertiary education institutions in the 2022 academic year who submit their resume to undergo screening and placement at https://rich.yda.gov.tw/. Only successful applicants who take part in the Workplace Experience Program in the hotel and lodging industry for at least 1 month between 2023-06-15 and 2023-09-15 will be eligible for the reward.
Reward conditions: In addition to the salary provided by the employer, students whose workplace experience reaches 80/160 hours per month will be rewarded NT$3,000/6,000 per person per month; students whose workplaces are located in remote (specified) areas will be given an additional NT$3,000 per month.
