Career Service Center is dedicated to promoting the “University Center and Competency Assessment Network” (UCAN)

Cultivate students’ functional growth and develop complete career counseling:
  To enable students to understand how to apply UCAN to explore their career goals, cultivate their soft power for work, and train their professional skills. We also plan and design functional development-oriented courses and activities to reduce the education-job mismatch. All departments are urged to redesign their curricula in accordance with UCAN’s functional standards of the Ministry of Education (16 functional types and 66 employment pathways. Developing a teaching mode with consistent focus and interlocking learning through integrating function and the needs of the industry, carrying teaching objectives through the end, and having an assessment of learning effectiveness, so that can obtain more refined and in-depth training in their professional fields and enhance their employability knowledge and skills.
A. General Test for Freshmen
  Combined with our annual “Career Success Experience Camp for Freshman” activity, the general UCAN’s career interest test for freshmen is conducted, led by professional counselors and teachers who have industry experience. Through the results of the test and the interpretation, the students can understand their career interests and required abilities better so as to prepare for the future in advance and think about their career direction. Furthermore, through the feedback from the effective questionnaires of the past activities, students can learn how to use UCAN for career planning, early planning, and preparation for future direction and employment. At the same time, students can use UCAN to understand the careers and the functions corresponding to each interest and use the “Platform for Student Career Development” to know themselves and the workplace.
